The information from our Extended Personal Review allows you to customize your decisions about retirement based on your current personal and professional objectives, as well as developing a workable plan for the future.
****This tool (RTII-Transition Inventory Checklist) should enable any transitionee to more correctly match their “goals, talents, and interests to a possible imminent or actual retirement situation; thus allowing the candidate to make an informed series of guesstimates of correct choice and paths to “A Quality Retirement.” Remember, there is no guarantee as we approach retirement, the vagaries of health, mobility, relationships and finances do play a role, but not necessarily the deciding role.

Editorial Note: This inventory will take you 4-6 hours. We suggest that you complete the process over a 2-4 day period. There is no right or wrong answer. The answers must reflect your real feelings. This is your inventory, not ours. Some of these questions will bother you. They are supposed to do that. You are interviewing yourself. Your answers will possibly change as we do repeat some of the questions verbatim or with slight variations.
Between birth and cessation of life there are 6 stages of life. Our goal is to make the 4th & 5th stages a fascinating journey. You do have a choice.
To this author there are 6 stages to life: 1. Infancy Dependance, 2. Childhood, 3. Adolescence, 4. Adulthood, 5. Retirement, and 6. Adult Dependancy. Each is inevitable, each can be interesting and fulfilling, the fourth through fifth take planning and careful thought to make the most of each natural phase.

*If you are working for yourself, please answer the above questions as if you were working with these people as clients and please note that difference at the top of the inventory.

- If you could go back and make one change in your preliminary retirement plan to this point, what would it be? Remember, we are not talking about finances, although they are necessary.

- We know you have thought about your prior job, career or profession often; what are 3 ingredients/things/parts do you miss most often? If you can think of more it will be helpful.
- I know you have thought about or pictured retirement opportunity often. What do you see/envision yourself doing? Hobbies, Volunteer Work, Sports, Relaxation, Travel, further education, write a book. etc.
